  Testimonials

"What a blessing Ms. Sharon has been to our family over the past six years!  She has helped to fill our home with beautiful music - both voice and piano!  She taught our older two children voice for almost 2 years and our youngest son has taken both voice and piano for 6 years.  I appreciate so much her ability to help each of them reach their fullest potential and still maintain a joy and a love of learning.  Her passion for music is so contagious that she was a big part in inspiring our youngest at 16 to save his money and buy himself a baby grand piano.  She cares about the kids and wants to see them succeed!  Ms. Sharon has been a great addition to our homeschool curriculum and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone." -- Tonya Bonde, Hot Springs, Arkansas

  • PIANO:      Having taught piano since she was eighteen,  Ms. Sharon focuses on correct technique and music theory.  Piano lessons are great preparation for other music study.  Acoustic pianos or digital keyboards with standard 88 full-sized weighted keys are mandatory for at-home  daily practice to develop finger strength.  Students are expected to purchase piano books.  Ms. Sharon welcomes children and adults as students to her studio. Whether you're six or sixty, you're never too old to learn to play piano; it just requires a little more patience and good ol' TLC  as you grow older!

  • VOICE:        Your vocal cords are very delicate and it is very important to take precautions to learn how not to abuse them through strain.  Ms. Sharon will teach each student the proper way to breathe and utilize the entire body as an instrument in vocal production and diction.  Different genres of music require different technics. Children who show an interest in singing at an early age, should be taught the correct way to sing, or they could do permanent damage to their vocal cords.  This, of course holds true for adults.  Vocal students are asked to supply a recording device for each lesson.   Ms. Sharon can help you learn that solo for church, for contest, or for that karaoke party that you're looking forward to!

  • FLUTE:      The flute is one of the most difficult wind instruments to play, but Ms. Sharon has been playing flute since she was ten years old and has instructed many students over the years.  Beginners learn proper teqhnique and not-so-beginners will be coached on getting rid of bad habits.

Tuition/Fees:  $65/ month for one 30 minute lesson per week plus the cost of any other materials used. Single lessons are $25/30 minutes or $35/45 minutes. Lessons are normally taught in my home studio.   Family discounts are available.
